STRUCTURE FIRE

Shortly after a thunderstorm came through the area Stations 26 and 56 were dispatched to a house struck by lightning and on fire at 625 Viscaya Court. Car 26 Chief Vladyka arrived and requested a 2nd alarm box 2656 for a working structure fire. Chief Vladyka reported heavy fire through the roof with multiple exposures. Car 26-B DC Lipmanarrived and assumed the Operations Sector. Engine 26-3 and 56-2 arrived and stretched 2 12 inch lines to protect exposures followed shortly there after by Ladder 26 which went to an aerial master stream to protect exposures and begin extinguishment. Through the hard work of our members assisted by Station 56 and other fire companies the fire was contained to the original fire building with some exterior damage to the surrounding structures. Station 27 East Franklin responded on the FAST assignmemnt. Stations 56 Somerset 28 Millstone Valley 44 Middlebush 55 So. Bound Brook and 23 Bound Brook responded to the scene. Stations 25 Community and 42 Manville provided the District 1 cover assignment out of Station 26.
