Station 26 and 56 were dispatched to I-287 south in the area of exit 10 for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival car 26 advised of a working fire. 26-3 arrived shortly there after and extinguished the fire without incident. The vehicle on fire had been involved in a motor vehicle accident with a tractor trailer and had ruptured the trucks fuel tank causing a diesel fuel spill for approximety one half of a mile of I-287. Haz Mat 26 responded and mitigated the hazard with speedy dry. Click on the story to watch a video of the incident.
