Dumpster Fire with Exposure

pAt about 230pm the District 1 companies were dispatched to a dumpster fire to the rear of a multifamily building under construction in the Canal Walk Development. While responding companies were advised that the dumpster was close to the structure. Engine 26-3 arrived first due and stretched a 1 34quot line to the well involved dumpster. With the help of the Fire Inspectors Eng 28 and 56-2 crews the fire was knocked down with minimal damage to the structure. An excavator on the property was utilized to move the dumpster away from the structure and into an area where the contents could be sifted through and completely extinguished.
