CAR INTO BUILDING

District 1 was dispatched for a fire alarm activation on Chesterwood Way three story multi-family building with underground parking garagein the Somerset Run community. The call was quickly updated to a vehicle into the building with entrapment. Crews arrived and discovered a car through the wall of the underground parking garage with significant damage to the buildings electrical service meters the driver had self extricated himself. Due to the damage to the electrical service the building was ordered to be evacuated. Fire units operated for several hours assisting with the evacuation of the 36 units within the building.
