HAZ MAT RUNS

pHaz mat 26 responded to two Haz Mat calls in the last week. The first call was into District 2 to assist Station 31 with two sick people and several unknown drums within a residential structure. Haz Mat 26 worked with the Somerset County Haz Mat team and provided decon to the entry teams. The second call was in District 1 on Weston Canal Road. A car had driven into the canal fortunately the driver escaped but the submerged car had to be removed with the assistance of Station 56 divers. Haz Mat 26 provided decon for the divers and deployed booms and absorbent materials in the water to control the fluids that had leaked from the car.p
