Ladder 26, 26A back into District 3 for the High Rise Fire.

pAt 820pm Fire District 3 responded to 575 Easton Ave. for the activated fire alarm. Upon arrival of Car 27 a fire was reported on the 7th floor with heavy smoke conditions on the upper floors of a 21 story apartment building. 27-A upgraded the assignment to a 2nd Alarm bringing in the Truck from Station 26. Ladder 26 and Car 26 responded within minutes and upon arrival were sent to the 6th floor to prepare for high-rise operations. Interior crews located the fire which was inside an electrical closet on the 7th floor. The electricity to the entire 21 story high rise had to be shut down forcing the evacuation of the approximate 400 residents.nbspspan fcktemp1spanVan 26 along with other Franklin Fire Dept. vans were used to transport the occupants to nearby shelters and hotels.
